MADD Southwest Florida will be hosting their annual Walk Like MADD and 5K Dash at JetBlue Park at Fenway South. This will eb the 10th Anniversary of Walk Like MADD around the country. The Southwest Florida Walk & 5K dash will start at JetBlue Park and will follow a route past the MADD office and the Gateway neighborhood, and then back to JetBlue to run or walk across home plate! Their goal is to get everyone home safely. At home plate, there will be a photographer to take your photo with the original score board and Green Monster in the background.

Every person who registers to walk or run will receive a custom-made finisher medal and event shirt. Walkers will receive a 100% cotton event shirts. Male runners will receive a dryfit traditional-fit event shirt. Female runners will receive a women’s cut, v-neck dryfit event shirt.

Walkers: This year, there will be aa 1-mile turnaround option.

Runners: This year, Endurance Sports is timing the 5K race and will be certifying the course through USATF. As in past years, there will be an award custom-made place medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for male/female and age categories as well as overall winners.

Gatsby Gala: Young Professionals Gala in SWFL @ The White Orchid

We are heading back to the Roaring 20’s to celebrate Southwest Florida’s finest young professionals. The third annual Gatsby Gala will be held on September 29, 2018 at the White Orchid to raise money for students at Florida Gulf Coast University who have overcome major life obstacles. The event will be attended by the most influential young professionals in the area and we will be naming the 40 under 40 recipients for the Naples and Lee Herald. Every donation and ticket is tax deductible, as it will be going to an educational endowment at Florida Gulf Coast University.

All tickets include: admittance to the event, heavy hors d’oeuvres, (1) free liquour drink ticket or champagne drink.
