Baseball’s hit king, Pete Rose, comes to southwest Florida in his theater debut with 4192 – An Evening with Pete Rose Live! Pete will share stories of his past in baseball in this Broadway style theatrical event that captures the golden years of America’s pastime. Storytelling, enhanced with visuals, will make the audience laugh as well as be inspired by “Charlie Hustle.” Pete Rose is an American icon and, in this show, he tells it all as he takes you inside the game of baseball as no other person can.
Using hi-tech multimedia that creates a game day atmosphere, the stage will be transformed into a field of memories and the audience will be transported to the golden era of baseball, complete with all the trappings of a World Series game including the first pitch, Star-Spangled Banner and of course, introductions.

Like the popular TV show, The Salvation Army’s MOST AMAZING Race gives teams of two an all-access pass as they race around Fort Myers. Teams follow clues to reach checkpoints, where they complete a task before moving on to the next location.The tasks can be mental, like assembling a gas pipeline, or physical, like performing a choreographed dance. Sometimes tasks are downright thrilling, like jumping off a 10-meter diving platform. Others are just plain fun, like bouncing across a field inside a giant inflatable ball. The Coastal Cleanup is the only cleanup where trash is collected and recorded. The data cards are then sent to the Ocean Conservancy where the information is used in the development of new environmental protection acts and change the behaviors that cause marine debris in the first place. The data cards are designed to have groups of 4 working together, 3 to collect litter and debris and 1 to record the findings. Latex gloves will be handed out, however some of the marine debris will be rough so please feel free to bring work gloves.
The annual cleanup is organized nationally by The Ocean Conservancy, and is coordinated locally by Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) and SCCF.
The 2 goals of the cleanup are to remove unsightly and environmentally harmful debris from Florida’s coastlines and raise awareness about this preventable litter problem. Litter poses a threat to wildlife – plastic bags are mistaken for jellyfish and eaten by sea turtles. Lost and discarded fishing tackle is eaten by birds and becomes an entangling death trap to many types of animal life.
