Come and witness incredible works of art made out of 2,000 tons of sand on Fort Myers Beach for the 32nd Annual American Sandsculpting Championship and Beach Festival! This event is 10 days featuring professional and amateur sculptors who will be competing with 40 works of art right in the sand. There will be World Class Master Sand Sculptors, the Advanced Amateur State Championship contest, the Amateur contest, Quick Sand Speed Sculpting, Sand Sculpting Demonstrations, a kids activity area with bounce houses and slides, and more than 50 vendors.
The first week features the Master Solos and Amateur divisions and the second week features the Master Doubles and Advanced Amateur State Championship divisions. In all more than 25 sand sculptors and hundreds of amateurs will participate in the event. Awards ceremonies are scheduled for Sundayz November 18th and also Sunday, November 25th.

Based on the holiday film of the same name, this hilarious musical comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. Buddy, a young orphan, crawls into Santa’s bag and winds up in the North Pole where he is raised, unaware that he is human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to discover his true identity. This modern day holiday classic is sure to bring out the true spirit of Christmas….after all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
The Marvelous Wonderettes are the entertainers at Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party and like every year, Mr. Harper is scheduled to pass out the employee bonuses. When Mr. Harper doesn’t show, one of the girls goes to find him, but instead finds what she thinks are the bonuses, but they’re not and everyone is in for a big surprise! The 60s style holiday songs include Santa Baby, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Jingle Bell Rock, Winter Wonderland and more.
Registration is NOW OPEN for the 39th Annual Turkey Trot. This long standing race has become fun family tradition for many. The first 2000 5K and 1 Mile Run registered participants are guaranteed a Turkey Trot t-shirt. Registration price increases on November 20th, 2018 and again on race day. Race organizers encourage you to register early and attend an early packet pick-up. Shirts are guaranteed to the first 2000 registered runners, but size choices will become more limited following each packet pick-up. Attending early packet pick-up will also avoid the need to wait in long lines race morning. Proceeds for this race go to the Cape Coral Hospital Wellness Path and the Fort Myers Track Club Youth & Scholarship Fund.

Check-ins for this event are open from 6-7:30pm, and are located at Big John Plaza and Dixie Roadhouse. Late check-in is open from 7:30-10pm in front of Dixie Roadhouse.
This is a 21+ event. Valid ID at check-in will be required.
* Each location has the discretion of limiting the specialty drink at the price of $2.50 to one per person.
** To enter, have your picture taken at the photo booth, located in the lobby of Dolphin Key Resort. Photos will be uploaded to Facebook and the public will vote. The SCHEA board will make final determination of the winner.
