2018 marks the year guitar virtuoso Benise (Buh-ness-say) unveils his new multi-cultural stage show ‘FUEGO!’ with all new music, costumes, and choreography! A nationwide tour follows in Fall of 2018 and Spring 2019.
Benise’s ‘FUEGO!’ features the passion and grace of Flamenco dancing combined with fiery Spanish guitar. A beautifully charming and romantic Spanish village set is the backdrop as Benise reinvents the classics that celebrate Spain – Granada, Adagio, Malaguena, Asturias, and Aranjuez to name a few.
Benise, armed with his Spanish guitar and backed by a stage full of musicians and elaborately choreographed dancers, captures world music at its best, with a show that appeals to people of all ages, cultures and musical backgrounds. An unprecedented and spectacular adventure through Cuban Salsa, Spanish Flamenco, Argentine Tango, Parisian Waltz, Brazilian Samba…and more!
‘The Prince of Spanish Guitar’ – Dancing With The Stars
‘Bennissimo!’ – Chicago News
‘Extreme Flamenco Fusion’ – Screen India
A former street musician, Benise began composing original works with powerfully emotional arrangements that are both wild and refined, producing a sound that is as edgy and exotic as it is romantic and sensual. Benise’s Emmy Award Winning Show has toured throughout 16 countries over the last 12 years, performed on the #1 rated show in America, Dancing With The Stars, and has toured across the USA multiple times.
As the show’s composer, guitarist and creative force, Benise says ‘FUEGO!’ aims “to take people on a musical journey. I wanted to push the boundaries of traditional Flamenco/Spanish guitar while combining the elements of dance and theater. This show is a celebration of culture–the culmination of all the shows we’ve done over the last 10 years.”
