Dames at Sea @ BROADWAY PALM DINNER THEATRE
Oct 25 @ 5:30 pm

This long-running Off Broadway production that brought stardom to Bernadette Peters is a campy show based on the nostalgia of Hollywood musicals of the 30s. The New York Times called it “A Winner! A gem of a musical!” and NBC New York says “It’s delightful, and doesn’t take itself seriously for a minute…”

Dames at Sea is a tap dance-filled musical parody of the golden era of Hollywood musicals! Ruby heads to New York to become the next Broadway star, but after landing a job in the chorus, her dreams are almost shattered when the theatre is set for demolition. With the help of two sailors, the show is moved to their ship and when the leading lady becomes sick, Ruby has the chance to jump in and save the day! Hear Broadway Baby, Choo-Choo Honeymoon, Dames at Sea and more!

Finding Neverland @ BROADWAY PALM DINNER THEATRE
Oct 25 @ 5:30 pm

Based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name, Finding Neverland tells the incredible true story behind the creation of one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration for his next work until he meets a beautiful widowed mother and her four young sons. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a lot of faith and a little bit of pixie dust, Barrie shares his journey to Neverland, where nothing is impossible and the wonder of youth lasts forever.

On Golden Pond @ Cultural Park Theater
Oct 25 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Cultural Park Theater Proudly Presents…On Golden Pond

Onstage from October 25th-November 3rd with performances Friday/Saturday at 8pm and Sunday matinee performances at 3pm.

Directed by Gwendolyn Salata

On Golden Pond is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. He is a retired professor, nearing eighty, with heart palpitations and a failing memory—but still as tart-tongued, observant and eager for life as ever. Ethel, ten years younger, and the perfect foil for Norman, delights in all the small things that have enriched and continue to enrich their long life together. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer. The boy quickly becomes the “grandchild” the elderly couple have longed for, and as Norman revels in taking his ward fishing and thrusting good books at him, he also learns some lessons about modern teenage awareness—and slang—in return. In the end, as the summer wanes, so does their brief idyll, and in the final, deeply moving moments of the play, Norman and Ethel are brought even closer together by the incidence of a mild heart attack. Time, they know, is now against them, but the years have been good and, perhaps, another summer on Golden Pond still awaits.
