There are countless ways we make our intentions come true, and people are constantly looking for the right one. The promise of making our dreams come true remains baffling, however. Some people manifest their deepest dreams, wishes, and desires while countless others do not.
- When you change how you view reality, reality changes.
- Life is a lucid dream, and everything that happens is a dream come true.
- When you know who you really are, you will manifest your dreams at the highest level.

Walker’s television work would lead to movie roles, like boxer Bootney Farnsworth in “Let’s Do it Again,” co-starring with entertainment luminaries Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. Jimmie also released a smash comedy album, “Dyn-o-mite!” that went gold. When “Good Times” ended in 1979, Aaron Spelling offered Walker a starring role in the short-lived “B.A.D. Cats” and returned to cast him again in 1983 in “At Ease”, an ABC series about a bunch of United States Army misfits. He also landed choice roles in films like “Airplane!” and “Airport ’79”, and was a regular on television shows like “The Love Boat” and “Fantasy Island”. In recent years he’s made scene-stealing appearances on “The George Lopez Show”, “Everybody Hates Chris” with Chris Rock, and “Scrubs”.

The edgy and fresh programming for the Fort Myers Film Festival has gotten the attention of a global independent film community. Last years opening night films include “Examine and report” which was the world premiere for Marcus Jansen’s documentary. The previous year “Most Likely to Succeed” provided the edge in a community that embraced the award-winning film that had only played at Sundance prior to our screening to a packed house at Barbara B. Mann. The year before that “Alive Inside,” a story about how music can significantly and most positively impact those suffering with dementia and Alzheimer’s was attended by filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett and Dan Cohen, founder of Musicandmemory.org, both from the film. It received by standing ovation, warm commendation from the Fort Myers mayor Randy Henderson and attending community. The year before “When I Walk” had, like “Alive Inside,” only played at one or two venues, including Sundance Film Festival, making the Fort Myers Film Festival heading the pack of festivals playing new and fresh films not in distribution. It too was later picked up for major distribution with stories in Time, New York Times, CNN and others picking up on the movie months after it played here in Southwest Florida.
The Fort Myers Film Festival supports Lee County Schools filmmakers and Golisano’s Children’s Hospital. Sponsored by Sam Galloway Ford List Distillery – Mr.Tom’s Spirit’s Unit A, Florida Weekly, Bennett’s Fresh Roast, Twisted Vine Bistro, Davis, J Bert MD FACS, La Trattoria Cafe Napoli, Black Tie Tuxedos, Market Earth, Blu Sushi – Downtown, Riverside Realty Group, Douglas E. About Lakes Regional Park – Lakes Regional Park (often called Lakes Park) is a 279-acre public park located along Gladiolus Drive (CR 865) just south of Fort Myers, Florida. It opened on April 21, 1984, and is operated by the Lee County Department of Parks and Recreation. The park was named after its main feature: 158 acres of man-made freshwater lakes. The lakes were formed by a rock mine that operated on the property in the 1960s. The park is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail as well as Lee County’s Tour de Parks bicycle route.
A variety of wildlife can be spotted throughout Lakes Park, especially birds. The park includes about 2.5 miles of walking and biking trails running along the lakes. A scenic boardwalk carries the trails over the lakes. Other features include playgrounds, a large field for recreational activities, as well as a fragrance garden with herb, butterfly, and cactus gardens.

Support local Cape Coral schools and enjoy a unique racing experience! Racers will enjoy a two-loop course through the festival grounds.
Participants will receive a commemorative dri-fit shirt and enjoy a post-race pancake breakfast for Veterans and runners! Plus, all participants will receive one free entry to the Coconut Festival for Friday, Saturday or Sunday night (concert & fireworks Saturday night)**. Best of all, your participation helps to provide classroom grants to local schools, so be a part of the GOOD!
