Speaker Series Presented by LCEC: Gardening in Southwest Florida @ Online
Mar 2 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Jenny will discuss how your yard can be so much more while still being attractive, including being a place to conserve our natural resources
Our yards are often viewed as simply a way to approve the appearance of our house. In this presentation, Jenny will discuss how your yard can be so much more while still being attractive, including being a place to conserve our natural resources and a refuge for local wildlife.
About the Speaker: Jenny Evans has been a longtime lover of plants and the natural world. She came to the horticultural world in a roundabout way, with undergraduate training in biology and theatre (costume design) from Mary Washington College in Virginia, and a graduate degree in public garden management from Cornell University in New York. Since 2005, she has been the manager of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s (SCCF’s) Native Landscapes & Garden Center and recently became SCCF’s Native Landscapes & Adult Education Director. Jenny has always enjoyed teaching people about the natural world and helping them to make the connection between plants, people, and wildlife

Oneiros by Dharma Lefevre Opening Night @ The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center
Mar 5 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

March 5-24, 2021 • Art Exhibit | Capital Gallery | Oneiros | Dharma Lefevre
Oneirus is the gates of dreams, It is a sacred and ancient place where all dreams pour forth. They fall all over the world as visions, transcendental states, lessons, prophecies and inspiration. It is here where dreams find their conduits to become realities through ancient shamans to modern day world leaders, everything starts as a dream or an idea, it is just a matter of finding the perfect dreamer to bring such to life.
Local fine artist, Dharma Lefevre, is one of those dreamers. Through the years she has developed a deep respect and love for esoteric, lore and ancient religions. When she began to paint she used her creativity to breathe new life into these. With this show she invites the viewer to not only pull you into the heart of these, the dreams, ideas and visions that became realities but to also tell you the lore behind each piece.
• Opening Friday, March 5 at 6pm-10pm on display through March 24 2021 • Entry donation • For more info call 239.333.1933 or visit the website at www.sbdac.com
